Day
1: Arrival in Cochin
On your arrival at the Cochin Airport/ Railway Station, our tour
representative will greet you and assist you to reach your hotel. Once you
complete the check-in formalities, freshen-up and energize yourself to
enjoy the upcoming excitement. Thereafter, embark on a sightseeing tour.
Hailed as the 'Queen of the Arabian Sea', Cochin is a mix of old-world and
new-age charm. Some of the prime attractions of Cochin that you will visit
today include Paradesi Synagogue in the Jew Town, Mattancherry Palace,
Santa Cruz Basilica, Chinese Fishing Nets, Ernakulam Shiva Temple, St.
Francis Church, etc. Before you move for the Alleppey Backwater Tour, a
city tour of Cochin will truly delight you.
We will start our day tour by visiting Paradesi Synagogue, one of the
oldest Synagogue where Jews are meeting since 1568. the year it was
constructed. From here you will head to Mattancherry Palace. This UNESCO
World Heritage-listed palace is famous for Kerala Murals, a kind of wall
painting that depicts Hindu mythology and Rajas of Kochi. Our next
destination is Santa Cruz Basilica. This church is one of the most elegant
and remarkable churches in India and is reckoned as one of the heritage
edifices of Kerala.
Next, you will visit Ernakulam Shiva Temple and St. Francis Church.
Ernakulam Shiva Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva who is believed to be
the protector of the city. From here, we will head to the St. Francis
Church. Built-in 1503, St. Francis Church possesses great historical
significance and is a silent witness of the European colonial struggle in
the subcontinent. The last attraction of the day is the Chinese Fishing
Nets. While in Kerala, Chinese Fishing Nets are a must-visit which is a
permanent installation of fishing nets providing a unique method of
fishing in the sea.

shopping before returning to your hotel for a night stay.
Day
2: Cochin - Alleppey (Alappuzha)
Today morning, after a hearty breakfast you will begin driving to one of
the most popular backwater destinations of Kerala, Alleppey which was
previously known as Alappuzha. You will arrive at Pallathuruthy Jetty by
12:00 PM and after completing the check-in formalities your Kerala
Backwaters Houseboat tour will begin in the real sense. From here, you
will sail across the stunning attractions of Vilakumaram Thodu and Kalitta
in the best Houseboat in Alleppey. Soak-in the serenity spread all around
and savor the delightful views. Your houseboat also includes a trained
chef who will delight you with special lunch on-board.
The Alleppey Kerala Boat House cruises through SNDP Thodu, Kuppapuram, and
Vembanad Kayal. In the evening the boat will reach Kainakary. Here you
will get an opportunity for canoeing for an hour. So, get your own cute
boat and start paddling through the coconut groves. This activity here is
equally popular amid adventure enthusiasts and nature lovers and is the

Before the sun sets, come back to your houseboat and set off to
Kuttamangalam, Chennengary via Nedumudi. Enjoy the vivid beauty created by

work. The night will bring a different charm when you will see the vast
starry sky over your head and endless water around you. In this dreamy

Day 3: Alleppey - Kumarakom (By road)
On
day 3 of your 4-day Kerala Backwater Tour in Alleppey, wake up from sleep
hearing the chirping of birds as your Alappuzha Boat House arrives in
Kumarakom. After the farewell breakfast, complete the check-out
formalities and de-board the houseboat. Thereafter, start your road
journey to Kumarakom. As you reach, check- in at the hotel. The rest of
the day is at your leisure. So you can explore Kumarakom at your own pace.
Kumarakom is a lush pristine town nestled on the banks of Lake Vembanad.
Some of the attractions of this place are its backwater cruises and exotic
species of avifauna. The place has been blessed with peaceful environs and
a Kumarakom Houseboat tour provides a heavenly joy. You can choose to
visit the Bay Island Driftwood Museum that displays wooden sculptures.
Or else you can choose to head to the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary which is
home to cuckoos and many Siberian storks. After your day's venture
exploring Kumarakom, you will board the houseboat to enjoy an amazing view
of the sunset from the deck.
This is followed by a special dinner before returning to your hotel for
the night stay.
Day 4: Kumarakom - Cochin for departure (2 hours)
After breakfast on the last day of the tour, check out and get transferred
to the Cochin Airport to board the flight to the onward destination.
